Things that go bump in the night

Today in Media Practices I was introduced to Kenneth Anger through this nightmare-ish piece called "Rabbit's Moon." But most of all I was introduced to the song in the film called "It Came in the Night" by A Raincoat. It is perhaps the first song I've heard that uses the term "bump in the night", so therefore it must scare the hell out of me, because the phrase itself freaks me out. But it's so goddamn catchy!



Think this was made in the 70's? WRONG! It was filmed in 1950 and the soundtrack was added in 1976. Clearly.

Vow to write more and embed less

So, I've jumped on the blogspot bandwagon again, and this time I'm expecting to write in it for more than 3 months this time. As you can see (provided that there is a "you" out there reading this) I've fallen into the trap of posting YouTube videos and placing my own inane comments.

I vow to do that less. That is, until I find another puppet video to post.

So today in Media Practices we had to make a video about the news and upload it onto YouTube. This is the fruit of my group's labor:



Not too fancy, not too shabby. We had about 30 minutes to film it on Photo Booth (the immediate capture on YouTube wasn't working.)
